Tender asparagus in a delightful sauce is served over crisp toast for a satisfying hot open-faced sandwich.

Ingredients

 12 medium-sized asparagus spears, cut into 1-inch sections, steamed
 4 slices toast
 Paprika

Instructions

Drain asparagus well and add to hot vegan or dairy Cheese Sauce.

Serve over toast. Garnish with a sprinkling of paprika.

Variation: Use thin, long broccoli spears or whole asparagus spears. Steam until tender, then drain. Spoon cheese sauce over toast and arrange spears on top of sauce.
