Jora Young has worked in the field of natural areas conservation and resourced management for 34 years, 23 of these with the Nature Conservancy. She is currently the director of Conservation Action Training for the nature conservancy. In this role, she is developing and supporting a network of conservation practitioners across the organization who work with field-based teams to develop effective conservation strategies everywhere the organization works.
Ms. Young has traveled and lectured broadly. She has contributed a chapter on management of mitigation bank in Mitigion Banking: Theory and Practice, (Island press 1996) and con-authored a book for new Society Publishers, The Ecology of Hope: communities Collaborate for Sustainability, 1997.
