MD, Chief Operating Officer of Cook County Health and Hospitals System SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER
Dr. Terry Mason, M.D., is the chief operating officer of the Cook County Department of Public Health. His duties include 125 local municipalities with 2.3 million residents. He is responsible for public health programs for Chicago and his duties range from disease prevention, screening, inspections and environmental licensing.
Dr. Mason received his BS Biology from Loyola University and his MD from the University of Illinois Chicago. He practiced as a board certified neurologist for twenty-five years and is a nationally recognized health educator and speaker who champions the holistic approach to health management.
He was featured in the 2010 acclaimed film "Forks and Knives" and received a Tele-Award for the video "Not by Myself." He has shared his holistic health approach on his popular radio, "Doctor in the House."
